I didn’t even know he did stage shows, that he did seriously dramatic and self-inspecting roles. I knew him first through The Naked Gun series, then Airplane and even Spy Hard was funny.
Yes, his movies got stupider as they came but he was still awesome. I even watched the original Police Squad series not long ago and it was still funny.
I mean, he’s wasn’t an Einstein or Paster but he was great in his own way and shouldn’t be ignored, even if he didn’t grab spotlights all the time. I’m just saying it’s too bad.
