I can’t say I didn’t see this coming. My recent victory has ired my fellow commanders and I was expecting several attempts on me and mine, especially with the power I held in Oceania. So I planned on playing defensively and carefully. Lot of good that did me.
A new development came when prior scans discovered a strange power matrix connecting all islands, promising a lot to the faction that could take all of them. But there was no feasible way of doing it without eliminating one or two first.
The previous report is available here and the first one is here. I reiterate that these protocols are classified AMC (All Minor Cities), OFE (One Faction Eliminated), TMOR (Three Missiles One Roll) and, since the last game was mine, BST (Board Signed Twice).

Amir gated in his Imperial forces in Brazil as usual.
-
-
Roman, having only the Saharans willing to take him on, still managed to claim his space in Africa.
-
-
Itamar’s Bears started in their city in Japan.
-
-
The new Mutant faction, probably realising the danger of establishing an HQ directly between me and Roman, took Scandinavia.
-
-
I started in my usual place, garrisoning in Strider’s Run.
-
-
The global satellite mash-up of the start of the conflict.
-
-
The first week of fighting began with Roman’s Saharans taking Africa.
-
-
Itamar’s Bears took Asia but failed to fortify their position.
-
-
They also attempted a jab at the back of Amir’s Imperials but it was probably unwise to make it their first move.
-
-
My move was to capture Oceania, slowly but surely.
-
-
Amir moved as expected and took South America.
-
-
Oz’s Mutants initiated a blitz across Europe, the Middle East and into the weak side of Africa.
-
-
But they lost a lot of manpower for that small piece of land.
-
-
Unlucky for me, a resistance movement flared out early and hurt my Oceanic position.
-
-
They took out Itamar’s garrisons in Asia.
-
-
As well as Amir’s forces in South America.
-
-
The second week started with Roman’s overwhelming forces taking back the African continent and fortifying its borders.
-
-
Itamar tried to take back Asia but couldn’t do much than take the gulags.
-
-
I captured the outback and fortified my position.
-
-
Amir retook his continent and fortified his borders.
-
-
And then the wind shifted, blowing the radiation cloud out of the Middle East and into Egypt and India, wiping out the local garrisons.
-
-
Oz, seeing that Africa won’t be so easy, took Europe, fortified Russia and cemented a non-aggression pact with Roman.
-
-
On the third week, Roman took back Africa.
-
-
And Itamar took better care of his line, fortifying against a mutant invasion.
-
-
I took Australia in force and fortified my position, annexing India for the food.
-
-
Amir moved into North America.
-
-
And blitzed across the Adirondacks and the Labradors to take Greenland and Iceland.
-
-
Oz wouldn’t stand for that and so he captured and fortified Iceland, also prepping for an invasion into Asia.
-
-
Surrounded on all sides and bound by non-aggression pacts, Roman had little to do than fortify his position. Thus began the fourth week.
-
-
Itamar attempted a breach into China but left his northern flank exposed.
-
-
Still recoiling from the toxic wind that blew down India, I regrouped but should have probably expanded at least a bit.
-
-
Amir, using the reeling of the other factions, took the northern continent by storm.
-
-
Oz, not standing for that kind of control, sent his mutants back down the Labradors and Adirondacks and stopped only at Venezuela.
-
-
On the fifth week, Roman, still surrounded, fortified his borders.
-
-
I don’t know what happened there.
-
-
But I took advantage of the weak defenses and plowed into Mongolia. My mistake was leaving China and India too exposed.
-
-
Amir fought back for his continent, with a little less success than he would have hoped.
-
-
In the meantime, a friendly local militia joined my forces in HK Elite.
-
-
But that didn’t stop those damn mutants from plowing through all of the south east and into Korea, even after I disrupted their local recruitment. But my fortification held and the local mercenaries didn’t like mutants.
-
-
On the sixth week, Roman stayed in his safe spot.
-
-
Itamar tried to extricate my forces from Mongolia but managed to only deplete his own.
-
-
While I beat back the mutant menace and retook my rightful lands.
-
-
Amir marched his forces across Kamchatka and into Japan, taking the Bear HQ.
-
-
Riots in the big cities eliminated my Devil’s Haven garrison and demolished Roman’s HQ.
-
-
While I was battered and weak, the mutants struck again, overrunning my force shield and taking my base.
-
-
Week seven saw still nothing new here.
-
-
Itamar, with not a lot of troops to his name, did his best to hold on.
-
-
While I regrouped and then took back China.
-
-
Amir, with the forces of two continents, spread across Asia.
-
-
Then I noticed the amount of support Amir had gathered and hid and saw that he could easily go for the win. So Oz decided to break the American hold and blitz through the Adirondacks and into Venezuela.
-
-
After Oz failed to take the South American HQ, he allowed Roman to go through Europe to weaken Amir’s Asian hold.
-
-
That brought him all the way to the west Soviets.
-
-
And with the Saharan’s ability to hit HQs, he took Fukushima.
-
-
Itamar tried to take Mongolia but didn’t punch through.
-
-
He did, however, weaken it enough for me to roll in and excise him from Mongolia.
-
-
But it wasn’t enough as Amir cached in on his conquests…
-
-
And took Japan back for the win.
-
-
And that was it.
