Polyphasing – Day 14 Gone

Apparently, the wedding weekend did a lot more damage to my schedule than I thought. I ended up over-sleeping twice, missing and postponing naps several times and narcolepting also, that is, falling asleep while just sitting at my desk.

So I had to do a bit of rethinking and what I did was shift my whole schedule a few hours forward. I figured that my main problem was waking up after a long sleep in the middle of the night. So I switched up to be able to wake up in daylight. And I also figured out that it made my schedule slightly more compatible with regular human socialisation.

And now I seem to be back to normal. I found it rough waking up today but I used some waking up tricks I read (move about, run around, take the dog for a walk, jump in the shower) and managed to keep awake until my nap.

I also found that my classes fare better when I nap right before I go.

And I visited my doctor today who illustrated that current medical wisdom says I have to get a continuous span of 6-8 hours every night. And she also said that there should be nothing physical to monitor during this but if I must, then I should see a neurologist and do an EEG scan. I’m gonna save that until I feel something wrong.
