מציאות מוגברת בזירת הפשע
למי ששיחק את משחק ההרפתקה Heavy Rain, סצינה כזאת לא תראה מוזרה.
לעומת זאת, בלשים אמיתיים לא באמת עובדים ככה. אין להם תצוגת מציאות מוגברת על גבי הראייה שלהם שמאפשרת להם למצוא, לסמן ולחקור נקודות מסוימות בסצינת הפשע על גבי סביבה דיגיטלית. או שאולי כן?
קבוצת חוקרים באוניברסיטת דלפט בהולנד עובדים ברגעים אלו על מערכת דומה. לפי הרעיון שלהם, בלש הלובש את המערכת יקבל תצוגת מציאות מוגברת על גבי הראיה שלו ובה הוא יוכל לסמן נקודות מעניינות בזירת הפשע ולמפות אותן לתוך ייצוג תלת ממדי של הזירה בו יהיה אפשר להשתמש שוב מאוחר יותר כדי, ממש, ללכת שוב דרך הזירה הנקייה כפי שהייתה קיימת.
אז כרגע המערכת שלהם עדיין בשלבי ניסוי והיא עדיין כל כך גדולה שצריך תיק גב בשביל להחזיק אותה אבל לפניכם עוד שימוש חשוב למציאות מוגברת ומשהו שאני בטוח שלא רחוק בעתיד יגיע לשלב דומה ל-ARI מהמשחק.

משהו שאני לא חותם שהם חשבו עליו:
הייתי מוסיף גישה לצילומים קודמים של המקום. (גוגל סטריט-ויו, מצלמות אבטחה) ודרך של המערכת לזהות ולהצביע על שינויים בזירה לעומת הזמן שלפני ביצוע הפשע.

its kind of like how powerpoint has taken over lecturing today.
it seems you cannot stand in front of an audience and talk, or maybe show a single graph as illustration or, oh the horror, draw that graph on a board.
now you have to use powerpoint, whether you know how to do it, weather you are able to work with it to enhance your talk or not.
ppt is a tool and most people have no clue at all how to use it to complement their presentation.
instead you get the worst combinations you can imagine of how not to use technology, and hardly ever do anyone correct people who present badly, so they never learn.
this detective system- I predict will have such problems.
detecting is an apprenticeship type of job, where you need to learn and develop skills.
giving you a very expensive device will not teach you anything or help you to develop the right skills to improve your detective professionalism.
it will actually divert your efforts to learning how to use a very expensive machine. which is an added cost to the expensive machine that I doubt anyone is counting in the bills.
I know you hate hearing “technophobic” protest to new techs, but I want to remind you that you belong to the minority that have affinity to this type of tech and I still haven’t succeeded in explaining for you the other perspective
I doubt many people who are professional detectives by choice are also tech savvy and ensusiastic and quickly able to implement a new tech to optimize their performance.
thats just day dreaming, not envisioning realistically how people react.
אני יודע שזה עוד רחוק מאוד מיישום בפועל וגם כשזה יגיע ליישום בפועל, ייקח זמן עד שזה באמת ייקלט.
אני פשוט חושב שלא צריך להתנגד לטכנולוגיות חדשות רק בגלל שהן חדשות. כן, אני יודע שלכל טכנולוגיה חדשה יש את הזמן שבה צריך ללמוד אותה אבל צריך לעשות את החשבון של השקעה מול תועלת וזה לא משהו כללי. זה כל פרט בנפרד.
