Robbery – The Future Cop

And now on iCast.

“Nobody move, this is a robbery!”
The lone gunman stood in front of the teller with what looked like an old model pistol, the one that still used combustibles as propellant. Those were deprecated since any modern body armor makes them about as useful as a mosquito bite. But on unarmed civilians, whose only protection was a shirt with an emblazoned S on it, it worked fine. So petty criminals still used them. Dexter wanted none of that.
“Excuse me,” He said to the robber, as he came out from behind the snacks stand. “Don’t you think you had a wrong career choice?”
The ski-mask wearing man turned around and trained his gun on Dexter, giving the clerk the moment he needed to hit the silent alarm. “Who the fuck are…” The robber started, then trailed off as he saw who he was facing.
Dexter didn’t need the distraction but he still used it. A blast of wind buffeted the robber’s face as Dexter took away the gun faster than you can say “eh”. Then the robber keeled over as the message from his hand reached his brain, a message about the pain of having a pistol wrenched from his fingers with the speed of a bullet train.
“You?” The robber managed, more than slight surprise in his voice. “Why you?”
“That’s what they always say,” Said Dexter as he walked outside.
The beat cops would be here in a few minutes and the clerk would probably want a word alone with the robber beforehand. So Dexter twirled the gun on his finger as he waited for them. At least he had his fun today.
