As I remember, the official philosophical answer is the free will does not exist. It’s just an illusion of free will, because the reasons for out behaviour are so complex that you can’t reconstruct them. If you have a row of Domino blocks that knock each other down, you can say, look, this stone fell because this one pushed it. But when you have an infinte number of blocks going in an infinte number of directions, you can’t find where the chain of reasons and consequences started.
