Last Minute Crunch Time
Yesterday was a long day. The longest by my count. I keep track of my work hours in case it comes into question at any point and I decided it would be “fun” (for some meaning of the word) to see what is my longest day. Yesterday was it at almost 12.5 hours.
But the thing is, I stay because I want to. The people there don’t really care exactly when anyone comes and goes as long as results are delivered and we did have a bit of a broken week last week with two out of three team members missing for a couple of days. So I had to put in some extra time at my desk to compensate and try and get this week’s goals back on track and I think I did most of it. Still have some work to do today but all should be ready.
They promised that this is indeed a rare occurrence but I still like what I do, even if I have to stay away for a bit longer.
